Our goal is to provide a relaxed, comfortable, fun atmosphere for
people to learn how to dance, refine their dance skills, and socialize
with friends who enjoy the same hobby. Whether you are an experienced
dancer looking for new material, or a brand-new beginner preparing for a
special occasion, Swing City offers flexible classes to fit into both
your schedule and your budget. We require no long-term commitment or
contracts.
Group Classes
Group lessons are an
excellent introduction to dances of all types and the social experience
of partner dancing. They allow you to concentrate on a single
dance or try out a number of different styles and levels under the
direction of professional staff and in a congenial mix of students
of all ages. Classes run in monthly sessions (4 weeks) for 45
minutes each Beginner classes start at the basic level, and
progress to Beginner 2, Intermediate and Advanced levels. No
partner is required. $45 per person/class. (Line Dance and
Fitness/Exercise classes priced separately. See
Exercise/Fitness.)
Private Lessons
Private lessons are a
valuable resource to all dancers. They allow you to learn at whatever
pace is comfortable to you. One on one instruction provides detailed
information that can help you work on a wide variety of technical
concepts, such as lead, follow, connection, balance, and spins, that are
difficult to perfect in a group format. Ask us about recommending a
teacher that would be perfect for you and your dance need.
Private lessons range from $65 to $80 per session per person/couple.
Private/Group Combination
A
combination of group and private lessons is recommend as the optimal way
to learn to dance. Patterns and social dance etiquette in the groups and
personalized coaching in the privates will allow you to progress quickly
and gain confidence as your skills grow. An affordable package
combination can be tailored to your goals.

1/2 hour private lesson, 1 Ballroom 101 class and Practice Party

B. 1 hour private lesson, 1 group class (4 weeks) and Practice
Party - $90 per person or $120 per couple
Payments,
Credits and Refunds
Payments for
services may be made in cash or check. There are no refunds or
credits allowed.
Privates lessons may be rescheduled
with at least 24 hour notice prior to the scheduled lesson. If less
than 24 hour notice is given, you will be charged for the lesson
originally scheduled. The 24 hour notice policy is required in order
to ensure that the teacher and the studio have ample time to rebook
the time slot.

If you are unable to attend a regularly scheduled group class
because of an emergency, you can make up that class at any time
during your course and must be taken within the 4 week period. You
may take a make-up class in:
 your dance, up to and
including your present level in that dance,
any generic technique
class, or
a basic class in a new
dance other than the one you are studying.
Carryover of registration fees to another session may be done under
extraordinary circumstances and with the approval of studio
management.
Practice Floor
Floor time is available Monday, Wednesday &
Thursdays only from 4:30 to 7:00. Must call to verify
availability. Floor fee is $12 per hour.
